While it’s still mid-September and Summer isn’t “officially” over, we can be pretty sure we won’t be seeing those close-to-triple-digit temperatures we saw at the end of August, so now’s the time for those with well-established lawns to roll back some of those running times on your controller, and adjust your watering schedule! Of course, this is also the perfect time to patch up any bare spots or even lay down a new lawn as September and early October are prime growing time around these parts! The days are growing shorter and the temperature is dropping just enough to set up a conservative watering schedule that will yield excellent results with a minimum of water usage (especially given that Mother Nature is always happy to lend a hand around this time of year with the occasional shower).
M.A.G. Irrigation, Inc. will be busily installing new systems over the next few weeks to help our new customers get a jump start on next season, but, for our existing customers with established lawns, now is the time to look ahead to the annual pre-winterization fertilization to feed and strengthen those roots for yet another New England winter. We’ve still got comfortable temperatures (and, hopefully, plenty of baseball) left before then, but it’s always a good idea to stock up on those fall lawn care products early!
As always, thank you for being an M.A.G. customer, and, if you have any service needs or questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Go Sox!
